The meadow, the woods, the path
A 2 km loop goes round the property, from meadow to woodland — oak, chestnut, beech, Douglas fir. There is always a patch of shade to read in and, on a clear day, the view runs from the Rhône valley to the Alps.
The estate is also a staging post: it holds the Accueil Cavalier label and takes in riders on long rides — their horses sleep out in the paddock, like ours. And in summer, the pool (mid-June to the end of August) and the river to swim in nearby complete the picture.

The animals of the estate
Donkeys, goats, Lacaune and Cameroon sheep, hens. What sets this apart from a wildlife park fits in one sentence: here, children go into the enclosures and feed the animals themselves.
Around them, the wild ones: roe deer at first light, birds of prey over the meadows, salamanders after rain, owls in the evening. We promise no sighting — this is nature, it shows itself when it chooses.

The Nordic bath
The water steams, the air bites, the silence is complete. A wooden bath facing the meadows, heated in advance to around 38 °C, entirely private, in 1-hour slots, all year round — and winter is the finest season for it. Our own favourite moment: dusk, as the sky fills with stars.
While the children are busy with an activity, the parents take an hour that belongs to nobody else; among friends, you put the world to rights in the steam. One hour is free with every stay, in both places; further slots can be booked from €30 an hour.

Domaine Solio grew out of a simple wish: to make the place we would want to find for our own holidays. Around us, a whole family keeps it alive — the fathers who build, the mothers who sew and cook, and Tilio, a tireless inventor.
We like stories and things made by hand here, because taking the time changes the taste of things. Our finest reward: watching you leave lighter than you arrived.

The whole estate to yourselves
Book both places together and the estate becomes yours: fifteen people, up to twenty on request, alone on thirteen hectares. Possible from April to mid-October — the rest of the year, La Granja on its own leaves you alone on the estate anyway.
Reunions, birthdays, three generations, small seminars — no weddings: the estate lives at the pace of its animals. Lower rates from 3 nights, write to us for a quotation — we answer you ourselves, with nobody in between.

How big is the estate?

Can we walk wherever we like?

Is there wildlife?
Roe deer, foxes, badgers, kestrels, kites, salamanders, owls… The wildlife is left undisturbed, and we promise no sighting: this is nature, it shows itself when it chooses.
Is the pool heated?
No, and it opens from mid-June to the end of August. A river to swim in is a few minutes away.
Do you welcome riders and their horses?
Yes, the estate holds the Accueil Cavalier label. Fenced paddock, water point and hay provided, €10 per horse per night; no stables.
Is the Nordic bath private?
Entirely: a 1-hour slot for you alone.
Is it included in the stay?
Yes: one 1-hour slot is free with every stay, in both places. Further slots can be booked from €30 an hour.
Can children use it?
At 38°C it is meant for adults. But ask us for gentler water and the children can enjoy it with you.
How warm is the water?
Around 38°C: warm enough to enjoy the full hour, without being punishing.
Is the session guaranteed?
No, it depends on the weather and on technical conditions. It carries no right to a refund, but we always try to rebook it.
Can we use it in winter?
Yes, all year round — and it is the finest season for it: hot water, cold air, a sky full of stars.
How many people when the whole estate is ours?
15 people, up to 20 on request. You then have the 13 hectares to yourselves.
What does that include?
Both places to stay, and therefore the whole estate: meadow, woodland, path, the pool in season, the Nordic bath and the animals.
At what time of year?
From 1 April to 14 October, as the lodge closes out of season. The rest of the year, the gîte alone remains available.
Can we hold a wedding or a seminar?
Seminars are very welcome. For weddings we are not set up yet — but outdoors we can host up to 40 people, on request and by quotation: tell us about your plans.
Do you offer anything for groups?
Breakfast, sharing boards for up to 12, the trappers’ meal, children’s activities… Write to us: we put the stay together with you.
